On Holy Thursday, the students/staff of St. Pat's School participated, once again, in The St. Patrick Rice Bowl Project. On that day, students did not bring a lunch to school, and hot lunch was not available. Instead, the staff donated food/drinks and then served a simple hotdog meal to the entire student body. The students donated the money they would have spent on lunch to the Catholic Relief Services Rice Bowls by dropping their money into a giant Rice Bowl built by the students.
St. Patrick School raised $1,251.41 from Operation Rice Bowl with an additional $127.45 from the Jean day. In total we raised $1,378.86 for the Catholic Relief services. It was fun to see our treasure and talents combined to help make a difference for a great cause.
